Anti-denormal

by Jeremy on May 1st, 2007

atlantisI’ve spent a few hours replacing Atlantis‘ lax anti-denormal code for you poor poor intel users.   I’m about 1/3 of the way through the filter algorithms.  I’ve been optimizing them as I go so everything should be even easier on good cpus, too.

I sent off a build to a poor poor intel user for testing, and if it goes well, I will carry on.

I also added a table of contents to the Atlantis manual the other day, and cleaned it up a little.

Shandar won the Atlantis ePiano challenge, and as promised, will be rewarded with the respect of his peers.

    Hi Jeremy,

Can you also, at some point in time, and if interest permits, add ability to sort wave forms by Atlantis recognizing folders in explorer and listing them as sub menus? The current method lists all waveforms in one looong column.

    Thank you sir.

Yes, that would be really useful. I wanted to request that too. Also, if you have a huge list of wav files available, the listbox cannot held all the entries. I.e. not all wav files are listed (perhaps due to entry limitation in the combobox, don’t know so…).
Nevertheless, keep up the good work! :-)

    Thanks for doing this.
Atlantis looks fine, but yes, it behaved terribly on my pentium (mainly the efx)… urgh
Looking forward to the update !

Hey Jeremy, I’m glad to see your plugin is being so well received. I don’t associate my problems with being … Intel user so much as having very, very many programs installed on the same box for a couple years now, and not having a dedicated DAW computer. Maybe that and being a P4 user. :-) (That will have to be rectified soon too.) Just ordered XP and Sonar 6 and look forward to a fresh install and maybe a dedicated DAW computer, as well as continuing w/ beta testing your plug with a hopefully more stable host and system. Cheers, frog.jr - nice to see you at KVR btw
