Fatass

I stumbed upon the old Fatass z80 sourcecode. If any gameboy color hackers out there want to play with it, here it is. Good luck.
Fatass is a music tracker I wrote for the gameboy color in 2000. It’s been used to author music for games, and it’s audio engine has been published in several games. It is very powerful and awesome.
You can find more information, and the compiled binary on the Downloads page.

It looks like I missed something in the Atlantis 0.9g release. The pan shaper was not included. So- here it is.
I got a tablet laptop recently, and I have to say, Atlantis is a treat with a stylus. And it even works in Vista. Goodbye mouse!

I’ve got a little Atlantis update for you. This version allows you to use MIDI learn to assign bend and velocity modulators. Now it’s even easier to go crazy.
Enjoy!
I’ve also updated the Atlantis Manual pdf.

Wow… Here is a new Atlantis update!
What’s new?
- data folder has a selectable home
- proper preset and bank support
- larger power buttons
A folder in My Documents\ called Atlantis\ will be created once you run the new version. You should probably move all the crap from your legacy c:\chips folder into it. You can change the location of this folder in the Config panel if you chose, even change it back to c:\chips if you are too lazy to move your stuff.

Holy shit! An Atlantis update!
I fixed a frustrating GUI bug where the GUI and internal values were out of sync while working on an experimental Atlantis module. The new module is not yet ready for public consumption, but I will let you have the fix.

I fucked up the delay when optimzing Atlantis 0.9c. That’s no good at all.
I’ve put together a new version that fixes that problem, and also makes some of the UI elements more visible.
Thanks to everyone that reported the problem, I appreciate the feedback.

Many years ago I made a Fast Tracker II clone for the Gameboy Color called Fatass. It was coded in pure z80 assembly, and was used to create music for several videogames.
Download it here: Fatass
You will need a gameboy color or gameboy advance emulator, or a flash system to use this. I originally imagined myself writing entire albums with this thing on my travels.
Press select to get to the menu, from there you can access help, the file system, etc. Load some example tunes from rom to see what it can do. There’s even a version of a Big Brother song in there…
